Looks like they were coming in with the nose gear indicator light in the red. They kept the nose up as long as possible to slow the plane down enough that they could bring the nose down without it collapsing. Nice bit of airmanship there.

It matters because there are more accidents in the colored negro countries than in white countries. Does it MATTER if your plane crashes? It does to me. These colored negro pilots were only qualified to hold a lantern on my lawn.

So Alfrunk, this was an AFGAN Airlines Airbus. What "colored negroes" are you refering to. Afgans are ARABS, last time I checked.
Also the Russians (USSR)have more airline crashes than any other country. They just don't bother reporting them, check your facts!!
I'm a retired USAF 50 y/o BLACK Air Refueling Operator. I have 4300 hours in the KC-135, KC-10 and some as a C-130 Loadmaster.
Truth be told Airbuses pieces of crap. And our goverment wants to buy them for OUR Air Force???

Statistically, there are more white pilots and white pilots are also most likely to be involved in crashes. In fact, whites who money to buy their own private aircraft, but not the skill and knowledge required to be a good pilot, are most likely to get into crashes.
This incident in particular had abso-frickin-lutely nothing to do with the pilots - it was a nosegear problem and if not for the pilots' skill, all on board would be DEAD!
Go read some statistics - and drop the "stupid bigot" act.

Hahhahahhahah - they made the black dude pump the gas!! I love that. Made my day. Well, statistically, non whites have a greater liklihood of crashing. They are a smaller PERCENT of total pilots, but still have a higher percentage of crashes. The afreakins have the most crashes.

Maybe your dear politicians prefer Euros than dollars :)))...Be happy you will pay less taxes because the cheapper solution has be choosen. Boeing and Airbus have the barelly same quality but European planes burn less kerosene, and are less expensive for maintenance. Do not forget that Airbus is associated to Grumann for this deal...Worldwide business...And Airbus is the first manufacturer...so many people can not be wrong huu?

Tostakyludo you have how many flying hours?? I'm talking from experiance not some company's adertisements. European and American airplanes use prety much the same engines. Rolls Royce, SNECMA, GE and others. They all get about the same fuel range. Plus there is the factor of parts commonality that will be lost, if the USAF goes to a Airbus.

My reply is simple....how many flies on Airbus? How you the well placed to critisize? Motors are important, but weight and design too. It is known than European are more carfull about kerosene consumption. So Airbus implanted last gen motors. In the same time, boeing is reluctant, regarding cost of development. But now kerosene is so exepensive. Boeing is saved by a lower us doller. Airbus is better, but the dreamliner could make boeing the best again...wait and see.
